Solution engineer required for business development and pre-sales activity (replacement of resigned employee)
RESPONSIBILITY
1. Build solution and define network architecture in business development phase through extensive knowledge of Japan telecom market and technological trends.
2. Engage in pre-sales activities and lead customer bids based on business objective analysis, deep understanding of customer requirements, network strategy definition, solution gap identification and competitor’s analysis.
3. Act as a solution leader and chief architect in all of in-country important and complicated projects. In each project, take a leadership for customisation of global portfolios, feature gaps/schedule/quality issues and customer negotiation for any technical matters.
4. Work closely as a liaison with regional solution team, system engineers in various product divisions, sales, bid manager, project management team, post-sales engineers and our partner companies.
5. Build long-term relationship with our customers through proactive customer engagement and consultation.
QUALIFICATION
1. Must have 5+ years of pre-sales experience in telecom carrier business within system engineer, solution architect, business development or equivalent.
2. Proficiency in WDM, SDH/SONET, ATM, Ethernet, IP, MPLS, PON, DSL and the other wireline technologies preferable. Particularly expert level knowledge and experience of optical and/or IP desired. In addition wireless background a plus.
3. Must have proven ability to take ownership of complex issues under tough business condition.
4. Should have collaborative skills among a variety of personalities as well as customer relations and negotiation skills.
5. Documentation and presentation skills essential.
6. Fluent English writing and speaking preferable.
7. Ability to apply logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems preferable.
